• Lived in Duluth for 14 years.
• Graduated from University of Minnesota in 1910, with a degree in Civil Engineering.
• Employed as an engineer at the Bulter Brothers.
• Then he was a Chief Engineer for Picands Mather Company, later appointed as Superintendent for the Danube Mine, following as general aaistant for their western district. In 1939, he was the assistant manager for the Picands Mather Company. He retired in 1945.
• Was married, and had 4 sons, 3 daughters, and 20 grandchildren at the time of his death.
• Notes on picture “Edward W Leach Lived Here”: These are four places in which our grandfather Leach lived beginning about 1919. Two are from the Mesaba ore range in Minnesota, and two are homes in the cities of Hibbing and Duluth, Minn. Our grandmother Leach is standing on the walk of the home I remember visiting until about 1970. In the far background, he lived in the house on the right. In the middle background, he (they? lived in the house on the right. The train locomotive was the first electric locomotive to carry ore from the mines.
