• For 16 years, he was member of the Crystal Hose Company and later the Mezeppa Hose Company, both are volunteer fire departments.
• For 30 years he was a member of the Wenonah Tribe #20, Improved Order of Red Men.
• During 1900 and 1901, he was the Alderman At Large for the city, being president of the council both years.
• In the 1910 Census, Peter and his family (Edward, William, Minnie and his wife Lizzie) are recorded as living in “Bemidji, Beltrami, Minnesota”
