James Livingston served on the Committee of Safety and in the Provincial Congress. He was born in Kingston and died in Poughkeepsie, N. Y.
Gilbert James Livingston, (1758-1833), enlisted at eighteen and was Captain of Levies 1781. He was born in Poughkeepsie; died in Rome.
Samuel Herrick, (1732-98), commanded a company at Ticonderoga and was colonel of Vermont Rangers at the battle of Bennington, where he was distinguished for bravery. He was born in Coventry, Conn., and died in Springfield, N. Y.
