James Livingston served on the Committee of Safety and in the Provincial Congress. He was born in Kingston and died in Poughkeepsie, N. Y.
Gilbert James Livingston, (1758-1833), enlisted at eighteen and was Captain of Levies 1781. He was born in Poughkeepsie; died in Rome.
Samuel Herrick, (1732-98), commanded a company at Ticonderoga and was colonel of Vermont Rangers at the battle of Bennington, where he was distinguished for bravery. He was born in Coventry, Conn., and died in Springfield, N. Y.

• In November 21, 1905, Dr. Frank HOLYOKE and Dr. John Holyoke NICHOLS spoke at the Centennial Meeting of the Essex South District Medical Society, a society their Great–Great Grandfather, Edward A HOLYOKE, co-founded and was its first president.
• Interestingly, in the 1900 census, there is no mention of his daughter Rosamund … and his daughter Elizabeth is listed as Laquinta living in Holyoke, Hampden, MA. In 1910 Census, Elizabeth is listed correctly.
