Notes for John HOLYOKE
• In 1706 he was a pewtersmith in Boston MA. Though he is one of the longest lived of smiths, and likely worked at his trade for many years, no examples of his work have been discovered.
• Living next door to the Holyoke’s on Boston’s North Square was the home of Paul Revere 60
• There are also a records that indicates:
- his date of birth as “10 Feb 1682”
- his date of death as “1 Dec 1759”
• Then again, his tombstone records his date of death as “11 Mar 1776”
• Some records list his name as “John Samuel Holyoke.”
