• Robin attended Brewer High School, where he played basketball, track, and football. He was inducted into the Brewer Athletic Hall of Fame with his 1970 State Championship Football team.
• After high school, Robin worked alongside his father and uncle, Bud Young, in the concrete foundation business known as Holyoke and Young. He later went on to become the owner of RP Holyoke and Sons.
