• Many records list his first Name as “William” which is probably a reference for his father
• Some records lists his year of death “1663”

• Edward was a follower of Rev. Thomas Hooker, a Puritan (who went with many others to Amsterdam). Edward travelled to Massachusetts in 1632 to 'scout the land' on behalf of his family, and they followed in 1634. (Hooker then followed in1635 and, after first settling at Ipswich MA, and then Newtown (later Cambridge) MA, took about 100 of his followers, including Edward, into the wilderness and founded Hartford, CT by taking over an old Dutch trading post.
• 1633 was granted one acre in a cowyard row in Cambridge … 1635 granted a portion of 1 ½ acre in a meadow … and later held 3 area in Small Lot Hill, 7 acres in the Neck of Land, one acre in Ox Marsh, 3 acreas in Lng Marsh and 9 acrea in the Great Marsh. Interestingly, within the next two 2 years Edward sold almost all of his holdings.
