• Graduated with honors from the University of New Brunswick where he received a Bachelor of Science. He went on to get his master's degree in meteorology at the University of Toronto.
• Served with the Royal Canadian Air Force in WW II as a navigator
• They raised their two daughters in Moncton, New Brunswick.
• They moved to Montreal, Quebec, in 1961
• In 1968 he immigrated to the U.S.A. to take a position as a special instructor in weather sciences at the University of Oklahoma. He retired in 1973.
