• Nancy grew up and attended Brewer schools, graduating from Brewer High School in 1961.
• She also attended the University of Maine and graduated from nursing school in New Hampshire in 1971.
• Nancy worked in nursing throughout her working career, including time as a psychiatric aide, in obstetrics, medical-surgical, intensive care unit and as a clinical instructor.
• She worked for 22 years as a nurse for American Red Cross Blood Donation Center, Bangor and throughout Maine, where she was a welcomed face to many donors and where she met many friends.
