• Widow ROWLANDSON
• Mary wrote an autobiographical narrative of her capture by the Indians. “A true History of the Captivity & Restoration of Mrs. Mary Rowlandson, A Minister’s Wife in New England.” Her book became one of the 17th and 18th century's most popular reads and earned her place in the history of American literature.
