Notes for George Lothrup (Spouse 1)
• If searched, one can find the Canadian Holyoke families listed as Native Americans. To some this may indicate that they were “Native Americans,” however, this is not correct - they were considered Native Canadian, a term generally used in the mid-1800’s to indicate they were born in Canada.

• Some records indicate his middle initial as G. although there are more records indicating it’s “L.”

• His occupation is listed as a teacher.

• In the 1911 census, George & Julia were recorded as living in “Woodstock, Carleton, New Brunswick, Canada.”
