• Graduated from Harvard 1750 with an A.M. degree … worked as an Librarian at Harvard.
• Was ordained 31 Jan 1759
• Elizur HOLYOKE "marched with Capt. Daniel Barnes to Cambridge on the 19th of April 1775 and afterwards entered the regular service."
• He was a revolutionary soldier with Capt. Josiah Chadwick’s company, Col. Richard Gridley’s regiment from 26 April 1775 to September 1775.
• He finished his enlistment as a Sargeant in Johathan Rice’s company, Col. Samuel Bullard’s regiment.
• Discharged 29 Nov 1777
• Settled in Marlbough … was a cabinet maker by trade
• Developed paralytic shock (Nonmechanical obstruction of the bowel from paralysis of the bowel wall) in Feb 1793
