• Elizur HOLYOKE "marched with Capt. Daniel Barnes to Cambridge on the 19th of April 1775 and afterwards entered the regular service."
• He was a revolutionary soldier with Capt. Josiah Chadwick’s company, Col. Richard Gridley’s regiment from 26 April 1775 to September 1775.
• He finished his enlistment as a Sargeant in Johathan Rice’s company, Col. Samuel Bullard’s regiment.
